The story
The difficulty
People documenting sites still take photos that later cannot answer where or when they were taken, which breaks inspections, property records, and field reports.
How we worked
Capture-time stamping, not a filter applied in a gallery afterwards. Customisable footer content. Photo and video on the same screen. A gallery organised by date. Location permissions exist for the stamp, not for an unrelated tracking product. That camera, location, and media work is also how we talk about a custom field application: start from a real capture job, then add workflow if the client needs it.

Watch the broken record
People were reconstructing “where was this?” from memory. That is the expensive step.

Address, coordinates, mini map, date, time, accuracy — written while the shutter still matters.

Where it stands
MapSeal is live on Google Play. It is a recently launched first-party product. We do not publish invented install counts. The store listing and a stamped capture on a device are the proof.

Does this replace a GIS suite?
No. It captures place-aware media. Analysis, layers, and desktop mapping are a different product.
Could this become a team workflow?
Yes — as a separate field application. MapSeal proves the capture. A client product can prove the report.
Why does it ask for location?
